A few things to know
Simple, from the start.
Is the phone included in the monthly price?
No. The Pixel 9 with RootedMobile OS preinstalled has a target device price of $299, purchased separately. First shipments are targeted for November 2026, subject to supply and device testing. Device condition, storage, shipping costs and final specifications will be confirmed before purchase.
Is the AI plan $25 total, or $25 on top of $10?
$25/month total for RootedMobile AI, including RootedMobile OS. You do not pay for both software plans.
Do I still pay my mobile carrier?
Yes. These are software subscriptions. Your existing carrier bills you separately for calls, texts, data and any hotspot service. A compatible SIM and supported carrier are required; compatibility will be confirmed before ordering.
What if I don’t have a carrier plan yet?
You can start a new plan with a compatible carrier—you don’t need an existing mobile account. For example, T-Mobile offers new plans and physical SIM cards for compatible, unlocked phones. Choose your plan and a new phone number, activate the SIM with the carrier, then insert it into your phone.
Your carrier bills you separately for calls, texts and data. Your RootedMobile subscription is $10/month for OS or $25/month including AI. We’ll confirm supported carriers and test the RootedMobile software on Pixel 9 hardware before orders open; T-Mobile compatibility is not yet confirmed.
Does the $10 plan include AI?
No. RootedMobile OS is the non-AI experience. The $25 RootedMobile AI plan adds conversational phone actions, knowledge assistance and AI-powered agents.
Is AI usage unlimited?
No. The AI plan will include a monthly allowance shared by conversations and scheduled agents. The allowance will be published before subscriptions open. Optional top-ups will require your choice; there are no automatic overage charges. Separate app subscriptions and third-party service fees are not included.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
We plan to offer monthly billing with the option to change or cancel for the next billing period, without an annual commitment. What remains available after cancellation, software support duration and the full subscription terms will be published before purchase. No billing starts by joining the waitlist.
What does “private AI” mean?
We’re building with Venice’s privacy-focused API. Protection depends on the selected model and the integration. Connected services receive the information needed to perform your request. We’ll explain those data flows before launch. The current browser preview uses simulated replies and actions.
